PDC Athletes Make a Difference Away From the Pool

​One of the things that makes our team special is the quality of its members. Dare I say, there is more to life than diving? Well, there is. Balance is an important element in any good athlete’s life. We are delighted to share an adventure on which one of our athletes, Jem, is embarking.

Jem is headed to Haiti to volunteer his time at an orphanage in Kenscoff, Haiti (a mountainous area just south of Port Au Prince) for 10 days. The service trip is through an organization called, Chances for Children. Their website can be found at www.chances4children.org. While in Haiti, Jem will be assisting with a variety of things, such as, multiple activities with the children, teaching English, and even making repairs to some of the buildings. Additionally, Jem will be working with a program that assists with distributing food to people in need.
